Arrowhead Games’ Helldivers 2 has gotten a crucial patch meant to try and resolve some of the game’s biggest issues. This quick patch looks to improve matchmaking functionality and servers which have been a little dicey since launch.

Helldivers 2has exploded out of the gates with excellent word-of-mouth. Arrowhead’s bug-killing ode to Starship Troopers is a breath of fresh air in the PvE multiplayer shooter genre. There’s chaos to overcome with big ol’ guns, and of course, democracy to spread throughout the galaxy.

While the game has been getting exceptional reviews, there have been some pain points. As pointed out inour review, the game’s matchmaking andserver issueshave hampered what would otherwise be a stellar introduction. The issues haven’t been the game, but rather – the times you can’t actually play it.

Thankfully a new patch has launch meant to address these pain points. Now, the game should have improved matchmaking, more optimized servers, and fewer crashes. All of that should make for a smoother experience.
