Stealth is surprisingly an option in Helldivers 2, and Arrowhead’s CEO took the surprise even further after sharing his stealth build.
Helldivers 2is known for its loud and zany action, as everyday citizens turned soldiers stand tall to spread freedom and democracy throughout the galaxy. The game furthers that fantasy by providing players withample equipmentto blow things up or wipe out entire brigades of enemies.
However, a lesser-known fact is that stealth is actually an option.Players have shared their experiencesbehind enemy lines, with the silent approach working well for them.
That said, it seems stealth may become a core function later on, at least if an interaction between Arrowhead’s CEO and a Twitter/X user is any indicator.
Helldivers 2 CEO shares stealth build from playtest
Since Helldivers 2 arrived, Arrowhead Game Studios’ CEO, Johan Pilestedt, has been exceptionally active in updating the player base on the status of the game.
When sharing server capacity has been increased to 800,000, aTwitter/X user replied with a TikTok video of stealth tipsfor players looking to switch up from the norm.
The response is what caught the eyes of many, asPilestedt commentedhe used to play the same way, albeit with subsonic ammo and a suppressor during playtests.
I know!!! I used to rock subsonic ammo and suppressor and do this quite a bit during play tests.
This caused a flurry of surprised responses from players, each one more confused and surprised than the other. One replied “Wait what,” while another said: “Wait a minute, did you say subsonic and suppressor? Please give it to us!”
Helldivers 2 certainly smashed all expectations from the players and even the devs themselves. After the game’s success reached Palworld status,Pilestedt shared the team is looking to expand Arrowhead’s staffto rework and accelerate the content plan.
Future plans may include a stealth update, although it may be some time before that happens. Stay tuned as more information comes to light.
