The GTA 6 announcement trailer has officially become the second most watched video game trailer on YouTube, only sitting behind one other on the platform.

And while there was major backlash surrounding the trailer due todeveloper Rockstar being hacked prior to the initial planned trailer release, the new footage still managed to break records for viewership numbers and popularity.

After just over one month since the trailer dropped on YouTube, the footage has officially become the second most-watched video game trailer of all time. Overtaking another juggernaut game in Minecraft.

At the time of writing, the GTA 6 announcement trailer currently has over 167,751,000 million views on YouTube, overtaking Minecraft’s current viewership total of 167,750,000 million.

However, the GTA 6 trailer still has a way to go before it is able to topple the current reigning champion, Subway Surfers, to become the most-watched video game trailer on YouTube of all time.

Given that the GTA 6 trailer is still managing to accumulate hundreds to thousands of views each day, the upcoming Rockstar game has every chance of beating out Subways Surfaces for the top prize in a matter of years.
