In Chapter 5 Season 1, the Item Shop garneredconsiderable criticismfrom players, with some disappointed by its new problematic design and others believing that the LEGO and Festival modes destroyed the shop for them.

Fortnite players call out “ridiculous” Item Shop for rotating only one item
The item in question here is the Evil Plan Icon Series emote which was recently added to the game. Looking closely into the most recent Item Shop reset, Fortnite players had their own thoughts on the matter.
One such user said, “The fk is the point of having a FOMO business model at this point if we know the same st is coming back every 2 f**king days.” Another chimed in, “The shop has felt phoned-in for a while now. I shouldn’t be surprised but this is pretty ridiculous.”
A third user feels “Shops have been terrible again for a while” which assures their “V-Bucks are safe for a while” as they are “sick of seeing the same things over and over and over again.” “Sorry, but 1 new Emote and then nothing new after that!” they said.
Some players criticized Epic Games as the only difference “between yesterday and today is that they removed items. Awesome job Epic.”
