Fortnite playerVesselNBArevealed a clip of their discovery. It showed that “you can get the old movement back when holding the lock on RPG,” which refers to the newly added Anvil Launcher.

Much like a large portion of OG players in the community, the player further stated: “let me just say this… it looks far better.”

Players praised them, but others instead slammed them, which caused a divide: “Holy sh*t. This is the difference people have lost sleep over? I’ve never paid attention side by side.”

One added: “Few people with brains complained about the animations, the real issue was the mechanical movement time.” While another admitted: “I like the old movement better, but I’m used to the new one now, but I wouldn’t mind getting the old back.”

When the movement was originally overhauled at the start of Chapter 5, various creators and players called it out for being“too slow and janky.”However, as time goes on, a growing number of players have become more used to the new mechanics implemented.

Since introducing the changes, Epic Games has also vastlyimproved Fortnite’s movement physicsand fixed various bugs through further updates and tweaks.
