When is Free Comic Book Day?
To get Free Comic Book Day comics, just visit your local comic shop.The availability of comics can vary by location, though. To find out where your local store is, you can check outComic Shop Locator.
FCBD offerings consist of two tiers, Gold and Silver, which refer to the availability of the titles. A Gold title is available at every shop for FCBD, while Silver titles must be specifically ordered by the shop. As such, Silver titles may be less commonly available.
While the comics themselves are free, your local comic shop does still have to order them, albeit at a heavily discounted rate. As such, many fans consider it good etiquette to support your local store by buying a few comics while you’re there for the freebies. Some stores may also have a special sale or event event for FBCD, like creator signings and contests.
