Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has hinted he could make a sensational return to WWE to compete against Roman Reigns at this year’s Wrestlemania.
The wrestling legend and superstar actor has further fuelled speculation he could be set main event Wrestlemania 40 in Philadelphia this April by saying there is a ‘chance’ he could return to the ring.
He then made a second appearance on the Day One special of Monday Night Raw on New Year’s Day, in which he explicitly called out his cousin Reigns by asking if he should sit ‘at the head of the table.’
Now, on the same day it announced he hasjoined TKO’s – WWE’s parent company – board of directors,Johnson has suggested he could meet Reigns at Mania.

Speaking to First Take, Johnson said: “I’m a long gamer, I like to build, what this is, if myself and Roman Reigns were to main event Wrestlemania… And I mean this very respectfully of all the Wrestlemania prior because I grew up in this business and I love it.
“We could put on… With us as the main event and this incredible group of men and women, who are this incredible group of performers, we could put on the greatest and biggest Wrestlemania of all time.

“There’s a chance. There’s a chance. I love this business, I love pro wrestling, I love WWE. But also I have this deep passion to grow it and to build it and if we’re going to do something like this I want the world to watch.”
While the prospect of Roman Reigns vs The Rock is humungous, it would have serious ramifications for Cody Rhodes.
