Pokemon Legends Z-A is taking players back to the Kalos region, but will the game feature the beloved Mega Evolution mechanic, which was introduced in Pokemon X & Y?

ThePokemonfranchise has introduced several new battle mechanics over the years, starting with Mega Evolutions in Gen 6. Z-Moves followed this in Gen 7, Dynamax/Gigantamax in Gen 8, and most recently, Terastalization in Gen 9.

The problem is that Game Freak has been cycling these special mechanics out with each new entry, save for both Mega Evolutions and Z-Moves appearing in Gen 7. This has caused a backlash from fans of these mechanics, who want to see them appear in every game.
