While Netflix is known foraxing its own showsearly, there are some shows that simply slip under the radar and end not with a bang, but with a fizzle.
Not much information on the show’s journey exists, so fans may be wondering if Alexa and Katie was another victim ofNetflix cuts, or whether it just ended as intended. Here’s what we know about whether Alex and Katie was cancelled.
Was Alexa and Katie cancelled by Netflix?
Despite a positive reception and winning a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Children’s Program, Alex and Katie didn’t run for all that long. Instead, it finished with only four seasons under its belt.
The show came to an end when the narrative suited, with Alex and Kate both graduating from high school. The best friends part ways to go to college, and the story reaches its natural conclusion from there.
The series (which starred Paris Berelc and 1883’s Isabel May) is still available to stream on Netflix. However, we wouldn’t advise waiting on another installment of the teen drama, since things have long since been wrapped up.
