Vampiric Powers will resurface in Diablo 4 Season 3’s mid-season update but they’re not coming back as Uniques.
Diablo 4’s second season threwvampire-based abilitiesinto the mix, significantly altering the inner workings of many builds.
To the chagrin of active players, Blizzard removed these skills at the start of Season 3. A recent tease from the studio hinted at their imminent return, though, leaving fans eager to see the newest Campfire Chat stream.
Said stream aired on February 29, confirming that Season 3’s mid-season patch would indeed bring back at least some of the Season 2 skillset.
Here are the vampiric powers returning in Diablo 4 Season 3
Blizzard’s February 29Campfire Chatoutlined what’s coming in D4’s mid-season patch, which goes live for all players on Tuesday, March 5.
Partway through the broadcast, the developers confirmed that specificvampiric powers from Season of Bloodwill reenter Sanctuary, though they’re being reintroduced as Legendary powers – not Uniques.
While the powers will largely match their previous functionality, players shouldn’t expect a one-to-one conversion. Minor tweaks were instituted to make the powers “evergreen” and “sustainable.” This should help them fit within the “mix-and-match format of the Aspect system.”
With that said, the vampiric powers Diablo 4 will revisit include: Accursed Touch, Blood Boil, Hectic, Metamorphosis, Moonrise, and Undying. (For a look at the vampire powers as Legendary Aspects, check out the following screenshots:)
As the team noted in the chat, thefan-favorite Metamorphosis abilityreceived the biggest upgrade of all the vampiric powers. However, players will note that the Evade cooldown picked up a five-second increase between seasons.
Diablo 4 users can put all of the above and more to the test when the mid-season update arrives on March 5.
