A recent announcement by Destiny 2 developers has stumped players, as the devs have swapped the featured dungeon to Prophecy “based on player feedback”.

Destiny 2has hit a bit of a standstill. Withdelaysto the highly anticipatedThe Final Shape, players are just kind of sitting around waiting for the new content to be released. Season of the Wish is still very much ongoing, but there’s no new story content relating to the Season, meaning there’s no reason to log in aside from the typical grind.

Bungie has tried to incentivize players to continue hopping into the looter shooter, even offeringBright Dust each week. Alongside this, the devs have put out improvements to existing modes, like new rewards for Crucible and more recentlya revampto the Prophecy dungeon.

This revamp will see the loot pool being changed with 3 new weapons cycled in to replace old ones. Coming in update 7.3.5, the changes will come in about a week, which is why many players are confused about Bungie’s recent announcement.

Based on player feedback, the featured Dungeon this week has been changed to Prophecy.

Bungie Helpannouncedthat they would be changing the featured Dungeon this week to Prophecy.

“Based on player feedback, the featured Dungeon this week has been changed to Prophecy.”

This baffled players as many knew the dungeon would be receiving a loot pool update next week, achieving the complete opposite effect for players.

“Huh? Aren’t the Prophecy changes next week? This achieves the opposite effect, where now we have to wait 5-6 weeks to get farm the new prophecy weapons,” aplayer questioned.

“Changes to prophecy scheduled for next week, proceeds to change the rotating dungeon to prophecy the week before,” another playerconfusingly enquired.

There’s no telling what Bungie is currently cooking up at their studio, but it’s definitely left players dazed and confused.
