An army of Ryans met up for a now-viral Deadpool & Wolverine screening, and they brought a Hugh – but there’s a catch.
To celebrate Ryan Reynolds and the box-office-shattering success ofDeadpool & Wolverine, a gaggle of fans named Ryan met up at a theater for a special Ryan-focused screening of the MCU blockbuster.
The screening, snippets of which are shown in anow-viral TikTok, looks like a blast. Everyone’s in matching Deadpool-themed Ryan shirts for the event, where they watched ads for Ryan companies. They also invented “Ryann” Reynolds and helped interested parties legally change their names to Ryan.
Of course, if you watch the video, you may have noticed a conspicuous splash of yellow. Since Ryan Reynolds invited a Hugh for his big moment, they invited their own Hugh. You can see him throughout the video in Wolverine-themed attire.
But, as they reveal in the video, he’s not just any Hugh, as his last name is Ryan. It’s a bit of tongue-in-cheek fun that capitalizes on the current highs of being a Ryan.
In addition to Deadpool screenings, they’ve hosted their own holiday, St. Ryan’s Day, and introduced their own Christmastime mascot, Ryan Claus. They previously made headlines for a Florida meet-up,Ryami Vice, based on the classic ’80s TV show.
