WithCloud9holding on to some of their best players in Fudge, Blaber, and Berserker while bringing in Vulcan and jojopyun to fill in the gaps, anything short of first place would be a disappointment for the org.

Now thatTSM’s out of the LCS, they’rethelegacy org for North American League of Legends, and they’ve got the most championship titles out of any org currently in the LCS by a wide margin.

However, despite signing a team that many thought couldn’t fail, their current roster hasn’t been able to keep it together. If things don’t change soon, it’ll be another case of a “super team” too big to fail doing just that.

Even in their worst form, Cloud9 have been a top of the table LCS team for the vast majority of their time in the LCS. And they’ve been in the LCS for alongtime.

We heard super teams fail so we are just showing we are NOT one

At least the players and social media team arehaving fun with itinstead of being all doom and gloom about the current state of the team, but things need to turn around fast if Cloud9 wants to stay on top of the League.

Here’s the thing, though: This team has had somestrong momentseven in those losses.

Even when C9 was extremely far behind against FlyQuest, they were still looking for plays. jojopyun clearly has that MVP gene in him still, and he’s got the power to carry teamfights. Though, unfortunately, C9 has been having issues with getting out-macroed and out-rotated, ultimately putting them at too much of a deficit to show their true strengths.

This has resulted in Blaber’s biggest regular season loss streak since he’s been with the org, not the kind of history Blaber was looking to make.

blaber has never lost 4 games in a row on stage that is crazy

There’s still a long season ahead, but Cloud9 looks far from the best season in the region right now. They’ve got a lot of work to do if they want to earn another domestic title this year.
