Birmingham City have inadvertently been met with the ire of fans of Korean K-Pop group BTS for a transfer post they have posted on their social media accounts.
Speaking about his move to the West Midlands,Seung-Ho said:“I am really, really happy to be part of this club and this team. I am really excited. I can’t wait to start.
“Since I was young and I started to watch football, one of my dreams was to come to England and play football. When I heard Birmingham was interested in me, I was really happy.
“I have known the club since I was a young kid. So, after meeting the Manager and directors, I decided to come here.”
BTS fans make their feelings known to Birmingham City
Birmingham’s transfer announcement attracted headlines in his homeland of South Korea but not for the reason you may have expected.
Instead, a post where Birmingham teased the transfer announcement was met with a backlash from BTS fans for the similarity of the post to the BTS emblem.
Birmingham replaced the BTS initials with the initials PSH (Paik Seung-Ho). This similarity left BTS fans upset and they made their feelings known on social media.

One fan tweeted: “Enjoy the news, hope the club is ready. This logo is IP, and has been registered “legally” for the trademark rights. And to the comments of ‘who? We don’t know BTS’. Well, it’s a super great news for us that you don’t know.”
Another fan tweeted: “What is this,” while another BTS fan commented: “That’s trademarked bro. I hope your lawyers are better then your players.”
Paik Seung-Ho will be in line to make his debut on Saturday in Birmingham’s Championship clash with West Bromwich Albion.
