Jessika tried to save her relationship with her Below Deck Med Season 8 co-star Luka (and no, it did not work).
Arguably the most hectic storyline from the eighth season had to do with Bosun Luka Brunton and his romance life.
After his initial relationship with Stewardess Natalya Scudder fell through (mostly because ofher open relationship with her boyfriend at home) andshe left the season, he set his eyes on newbie Jessika Asai instead.
Their boatmance was quickly moving along, and despitethe drama from the Katie Flood twist, Luca and Jessika seemed to be absolutely smitten with each other. That is until Natalya came back to surprise the crew.
In the finale episode, Nat decided to come back on-screen to reunite with her former co-stars on their last night out of the season. Even though he and Jessika were still ‘dating’, Luka instantly embraced Nat and even started kissing her. This is when everything went south quickly.
Did Below Deck Med’s Jessika make Luka jealous?
After seeing Nat and Luka being romantic together, Jess decided to get revenge and start kissing a guy at the club instead.
When Luka didn’t seem phased by her retaliation, Deckhand Max proposed the idea of him and Jess kissing to make him jealous, which Jess was completely down for.
Yet, that soon backfired as they began making out when Luca wasn’t even around. Needless to say, the relationship between Jess and Luka started and ended in this season.
And even though Nat has since split from her open-relationship partner, she revealed toUS Weeklythat that doesn’t mean she and Luka are dating.
“We’re just good friends now. He lives in Indonesia, I’m in America, so we keep in contact just through, like, Bravo photos and posts and kind of communicating about the season,” she told the outlet.
