Joey tried to create a “safe space” for the contestants
On theJennifer Hudson Show, Joey shared that The Bachelor Season 28 will be very emotional.
“There’s a lot of emotion, I think I’ve always been someone that has worn my emotions on my sleeve, I know a lot of the women did the same. I tried to create a safe space for all of them to be able to do that,” he told Jennifer.
“I think it’s healthy to kind of let out how you’re feeling at this time, and through this whole entire show, you know, there’s moments where you feel those emotions and it’s better to let them go than to just hold onto them, so you will see it this season, that’s for sure.”
So far,Joey has shown a lot of empathyfor the contestants during his season of The Bachelor.
The tennis instructor listened when Daisy Kent opened up about her hearing loss, and also comfortedLauren Hollingerwhen she decided to go home because her father’s death was still affecting her.
Throughout the season, Joey will learn more personal stories about the other contestants on the show and share many tearful moments with them.
