In Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, you can explore the Grand Underground, a series of interconnected mini terrarium-like rooms called Hideaways, all containing Pokemon.
Additionally, after you’veunlocked the National Dex, received the Icicile Badge, and found the TMs for Surf, Defog, and Waterfall, more Pokemon will appear in the Grand Underground.

The Grand Underground offers players a wider selection of wild Pokemon that they can acquire for their journey throughout Sinnoh. It also offers a chance to find ‘Mons from different regions, especially ones from Kanto.
The minigames in the Grand Underground also give you fun activities to do outside of the main storyline, such as creating your own Secret Hideaway and stocking it up with rare decorations. That being said, you’re free to ignore the Grand Underground if it doesn’t pique your interest.
